Resubscribing restarts a CrashPlan subscription purchased online after it has ended, whether it was canceled or ended after a renewal payment could not be collected. Backup resumes on your existing devices.
A console administrator can resubscribe from the CrashPlan console for about 45 days after the subscription ends, while console access is still available.
Requirements
- A CrashPlan subscription purchased online. Subscriptions purchased through the CrashPlan sales team, a managed service provider (MSP), or a reseller are renewed through that party.
- A CrashPlan account with the Customer Cloud Admin or Billing Admin role.
- You can still sign in to the CrashPlan console.
Resubscribe from the CrashPlan console
To resubscribe to CrashPlan from the CrashPlan console:
- Sign in to the CrashPlan console.
- Select Administration > Status > License Plan.
- Click Resubscribe.
- Complete the checkout, entering payment details when prompted.
Once the payment is processed, the subscription is active and devices resume backing up automatically.
If you cannot resubscribe from the CrashPlan console
If no one in your organization can sign in to the CrashPlan console with the Customer Cloud Admin or Billing Admin role, or console access has already ended, contact CrashPlan technical support as soon as possible to resubscribe.
Console access ends about 45 days after the subscription ends, and reactivating the account after that is not always possible. Once the backup data is permanently deleted, a new subscription starts new backups.
