Objective
This article describes how to restart your CrashPlan subscription if it was previously canceled. You should perform this procedure if you want to resume your backups and your account is still within the post-cancellation retention period.
Prerequisites
- Purchase Method: This procedure only applies to subscriptions purchased online through Paddle. If you purchased through our sales team, a Managed Service Provider (MSP), or reseller, you must contact them directly to discuss resubscribing.
- Retention Period: You can only use the resubscribe option if it has been fewer than 90 days since your subscription ended. If your account has passed this retention period, you must sign up for a brand-new account instead. See Data retention in the CrashPlan cloud for additional details.

Permissions: You must have one of the following roles in the CrashPlan console:
- Customer Cloud Admin
- Billing Admin
Procedure
- Sign in to the CrashPlan console.
- Select Administration > Status > License Plan.
- Click Resubscribe.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to proceed through the checkout process and update your payment details.
- Once the checkout is complete, your subscription will be active. Devices will resume backing up shortly.
