Overview
This reference guide describes options for restoring files from the CrashPlan console.
CrashPlan console restore reference
To restore files from the CrashPlan console:
- Select Administration > Environment > Devices.
- Select a device.
- Click the Restore icon .
The Web Restore dialog appears.

Displays available destinations to restore from. The From Backup Set list appears when more than one backup set uses the selected destination. If needed, select the backup set from which to restore files. |

Restores files as they existed on a specified date. Click the calendar icon to display the calendar widget. |
f | Find files... | Searches for a file name or name pattern. |
g | File tree |
Displays a list of files that are backed up from this device. Select files and folders to restore them. Click the arrow next to a file to view and select a specific version of that file to restore. Time stamps next to file versions are displayed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). |
h | Display hidden files | Displays hidden files, such as system files in the list of files to restore.
Hidden Windows files are always listed
CrashPlan does not support metadata for hidden Windows files. Therefore, hidden files in Windows always appear on Restore screens in the CrashPlan app and CrashPlan console, regardless of whether you've chosen to show or hide them. |
i | Display deleted files | Displays files that have been deleted from the computer in the list of files to restore. |
j | Full Paths |
Selects to restore files and folders using their original full folder and path structure or to restore to a single location. |
k | Restore details | Displays the number of folders, the number of files, and the total size selected to restore. |
l | Cancel | Closes the window without restoring. |
m | Restore | Restores selected files. |
