Overview
This reference guide explains the CrashPlan console settings for creating CrashPlan app customization templates. Customization templates enable you to define and apply CrashPlan app customizations for co-branding, login field labels, and in-app messaging.
To access client customizations, navigate to Administration > Client Management > Customizations.
Considerations
To use this functionality, you must be assigned the Security Administrator role.
Customization templates
To view existing customization templates, sign in to the CrashPlan console and select Administration > Agent Management > Customizations. If you have not created any templates yet, you'll see the option to create your first template.

b | Select template | Click to select one or more templates to delete. When a template is selected, the Add Template button changes to Delete Template. |

Template Name |
Name of the template. Clicking the template name opens the template edit view, which enables you to view and edit the template's customization details. Click the up or down arrow to sort in ascending or descending order. |
d | Organization | The organization to which this customization template applies. Devices in this organization, and child organizations (if applicable), display these customizations. Click the up or down arrow to sort in ascending or descending order. |
e | Created By | Name of the user who created this template. Click the up or down arrow to sort in ascending or descending order. |
f | Created On | Date the template was created. Click the up or down arrow to sort in ascending or descending order. |
g | Last Modified | Date the template was last modified. Click the up or down arrow to sort in ascending or descending order. |
h | Results per page | Provides the option to display 10, 20, 30, or 40 templates per page. |
Create and edit customization templates
To create/edit a template, sign in to the CrashPlan console and select Administration > Agent Management > Customizations.
- To create a new template, click Add Template. If no templates exist yet, click Create New Template.
- To edit an existing template, click the template's name.
Co-branding images and custom messages are only available for customers whose product plans support co-branding and customization. Custom client login fields are available in all product plans.

b | Select an organization to customize | Defines the organization to which this customization template applies. Customizations also apply to child organizations, unless a child organization has its own template. |
c | Set a custom label for the username field | Defines the username field label on the CrashPlan app's login screen. The default username field label is "Username." You can customize the label to provide more direction if necessary (for example, "Your directory services username"). This field is optional. |
d | Set a custom label for the password field | Defines the password field label on the CrashPlan app's login screen. The default password field label is "Password." You can customize the label to provide more direction if necessary (for example, "Your directory services password"). This field is optional. |

g | Allow user to dismiss this message | Select to allow users to dismiss the custom message. If you change the message, the new message appears to users even if the previous message was dismissed. |

Adds a custom notification to the Home screen of the CrashPlan app.
