Problem
When attempting to sign in to the CrashPlan app, you receive the "Logged out by authority" error message.

Cause
This error typically occurs when an active sign-in session token expires or becomes out of sync with the authentication server.
Resolution
In most cases, you can resolve this by forcing the app to refresh your credentials:
- On the error screen in the CrashPlan app, click Sign in with a different account.
- Enter your username and try the sign-in process again.
If the issue persists:
- Ensure that your username and device are currently active and have not been deactivated or blocked by your administrator.
- If your account is active and you still cannot sign in, contact support for further assistance.
