Upcoming changes to support ticket submission

On August 4th, 2025, the CrashPlan support team will no longer accept new ticket submissions by email. New support requests to support@crashplan.com will receive an automated response, and no ticket will be created. 

Why is CrashPlan making this change?

We regularly review our processes to ensure that we provide you with the best service we can. Tickets submitted through our Help Center include details that help allow us to better understand and prioritize your request, getting your issue resolved faster. 

Additionally, email ticket traffic has declined over time for CrashPlan and our industry as a whole. This change streamlines the support process and aligns us with industry best practices.

Will I still receive email updates about my tickets?

Yes. As your tickets are updated you will continue to receive notifications via email.

Do I have to use the Help Center to update my tickets?

No. Once a ticket is submitted, you will be able to update it by replying to its email notifications. This change will only impact the creation of new tickets via email.
