If you have multiple devices on your account, it is important to select the correct device to replace to ensure the right files and settings are transferred to your new device. Review this article to identify which device to replace.
Identify the correct device
You can identify which device to replace in two different ways:
- Device name: By default, the device name matches the user name of your device.
- Date Created On: Date that the CrashPlan app was installed on that device.
Select a device
- Click the name of the device you wish to replace.
If you do not see a device you want to replace, select Add as new device or Use current device to exit the replace device wizard.
- Click Continue to advance to Step 2 of the replace device wizard.
