Overview
This tutorial explains how to sign up for a CrashPlan trial. The trial evaluation software is a complete version of a CrashPlan environment, with full functionality. The trial period for all products is 14 days.
Before you begin
Make sure your client devices meet the CrashPlan requirements.
Start your CrashPlan trial
Choose your product
- In a web browser, go to our CrashPlan Trial page.
- Select Monthly or Yearly to choose your preferred payment term.
You will not be charged until the trial ends. - Click Start Trial in the column of the desired product.

Enter your information
- In a web browser, go to our CrashPlan Trial page.
- Enter your information for all fields: name, email, company name (if applicable), country, and postal code.
- Click Continue.
Checkout
- (CrashPlan Professional and Enterprise only) If you selected a yearly subscription option, select 1 or 2 years. If you desire a monthly subscription instead, click Go back and then select the Monthly option.
- (CrashPlan Professional and Enterprise only) Select the number of licenses you wish to purchase. Each license grants one user up to one device on Professional, or up to two devices on Enterprise.
- Enter your payment details via PayPal or by entering your card information.
- Click Start your free trial to complete.
We require your billing information, but you are not billed when you sign up for the trial. At the end of your trial, you are automatically billed for your CrashPlan subscription using the billing information provided here.
Next steps
After you start the trial, you'll receive two emails:
- A receipt from our payment processor, Paddle.
- A welcome email with instructions to complete set up on your account.
