Licenses Showing As Expired On "My Account"

When viewing your Subscriptions in the CrashPlan web app, local folders appear as expired computers. This makes it look like a local backup is using a license key. This also shows expired licenses next to computers on the account, which suggests that a computer is not backing up.


Recommended solution

This is a visual error. This issue:

  • Does not impact licensing
  • Does not impact your ability to back up or restore from these folders

Since this issue does not impact the ability to back up or restore, the severity is considered low. 

To determine whether a subscription is expired or not, open the CrashPlan app and go to Settings > Account > License. From this location, you can see your subscription expiration date and how much time you have remaining on the subscription.
