CrashPlan+ Family plans allow you to back up as many as 10 computers under a single account. Family plans are perfect when you have several people in a household who need to back up their computers. If a son or daughter goes away to school, his / her computer can still be protected under a family plan.

• All the users in your family will log into CrashPlan+ using a single email address and password.
• All the computers in your family will be able to access / restore each other's backup.
• When there is a CrashPlan+ update, the software will be automatically updated on all the computers in your family.
• Your new subscription replaces your old one. That means that your old subscription will end (even if you still have time remaining) when you buy a new one.
  • You can cancel your subscription and get a pro-rated refund for any unused months (you will be charged for the current month), and then start your new plan.
  • Alternative: If you already have a CrashPlan+ trial or subscription, consider waiting until your trial/subscription is nearly over before purchasing a new subscription.
• On the Purchase Information page, be sure to enter the same email address that you used for your existing CrashPlan account, if you had one.
  

First, have CrashPlan already running on at least one computer in your home.

1. Go to the CrashPlan Store
2. Choose the Family Plan that you want.
   
3. Complete the purchase information.
   Be sure to enter the same email address that you used for your existing CrashPlan account, if you had one.
4. In CrashPlan, choose Settings > Account.
5. Under Licenses, enter the 16-character Key from the email that you received from CrashPlan.
   
6. Click Save.

Follow these steps on each of the other computers in your family that you want backing up under your account.

1. Download and install CrashPlan.
2. On the Activation page, click Existing Account.
3. Enter the login information that you entered on your first computer above.
4. Click Sign In.
