Thank you for purchasing CrashPlan+! Follow these steps to activate your CrashPlan+ license key.

If you've already started backing up with a CrashPlan+ Trial or the free version of CrashPlan, jump down to Already Using CrashPlan?

Follow these steps if you purchased CrashPlan+ but have not yet started backing up.

1. Download and install CrashPlan from http://www.crashplan.com/consumer/download.html. Please see Installing CrashPlan for detailed instructions.
2. Once installation is complete, enter the requested information to create your CrashPlan+ account.
3. Choose Settings > Account.
4. Open the CrashPlan Purchase Receipt email sent to the email address you provided during the purchase process.
5. Copy the license key displayed near the bottom of the message. Where's my license key?
6. In CrashPlan, paste your license key into the Key field as shown.
   
7. Click Save at the bottom.

Congratulations! You've now activated your CrashPlan+ subscription and can start backing up online. For help getting started, see Backing Up To CrashPlan Central.

If you are upgrading your CrashPlan+ Trial or the free version of CrashPlan to a paid CrashPlan+ subscription, please follow these steps to activate your CrashPlan+ license.

1. Open your CrashPlan desktop.
2. Choose Settings > Account.
3. Open the CrashPlan Purchase Receipt email sent to the email address you provided during the purchase process.
4. Copy the license key displayed near the bottom of the message. Where's my license key?
5. In CrashPlan, paste your license key into the Key field as shown.
   
6. Click Save at the bottom.

Your CrashPlan+ license key is included on the purchase receipt that was emailed to the address you provided. If you do not see the receipt in your inbox, please check your SPAM folder for a message with subject “Purchase Receipt (your order number)” from support@crashplan.com.
